Cape May - Lewes Ferry Youth Group Terms & Conditions
- There will be one (1) chaperon for every six (6) students. Chaperons are to take an active role in supervision of their assigned children. No student is permitted to be out of eyesight or earshot of a chaperon. (This includes visits to restrooms).
- If your organization will be bringing food on board, it is your responsibility to ensure proper disposal of all food and package items.
- Any announcements from the Captain are to be strictly adhered to.
- Your organization will be responsible for reimbursing the CMLF for any damage resulting from your groups visit.
Safety Rules:
- All students must be wearing closed toe rubber soled footwear (preferably sneakers) to board the vessel; sandals and flip-flops are not permitted. Chaperons must check students' shoelaces to ensure they are properly tied prior to boarding the vessel.
- Students must watch their step when walking through vessel doorways due to high doorsills.
- Students must hold handrails whenever going up or down stairways. Sitting or leaning on handrails is not permitted.
- Students must never run while on the vessel or in the ferry terminal.
- Teachers must notify us in advance of students with special needs.
- Personal belongings (backpacks, etc.) must be attended to at all times.
- For the safety of the students, school group bookings may be canceled due to inclement weather.
Failure to adhere to these rules may lead to your group's exclusion from further group bookings on the Cape May - Lewes Ferry.
