Independence Day Fireworks Celebrations
Celebrate America's Independence with the Cape May-Lewes Ferry!
While nothing says of Fourth of July like Fireworks, things are a little different this year due to the COVID-19 virus. Please read below for important information regarding fireworks displays in both Lewes, DE and Cape May, NJ.
The July 3rd Lewes Fireworks Cruise and Fireworks on the Green at the Cape May Terminal Events Are CANCELED FOR 2020
While Lower Township recently announced that they will be hosting a fireworks display on July 3rd, which is exciting news. In the event that the fireworks display does proceed, the Ferry Terminal parking lots and grounds will unfortunately not be available for viewing purposes during the display. The Fireworks are one of our favorite events and a yearly tradition on the Terminal green, however out of concern for everyone’s safety, we cannot accommodate such a large crowd while maintaining appropriate social distancing, nor do we have the ability to limit access to comply with the outdoor gathering rules that are currently in place in New Jersey. Thank you for understanding.
July 4th - Fireworks on the Green, Lewes Terminal: POSTPONED
The Go Fourth Lewes organization has postponed the Lewes fireworks celebration until September 5, 2020. At this time we anticipate that guests will be able to view the fireworks from the Lewes terminal, but details are not yet available. In conjunction with Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen and Grain On the Rocks, we'll provide updates as soon as they are available.
