FAQ Section Title
Questions about the Ferry Shuttles or ground transportation at the Ferry? Some answers are here.
What type of ground transportation options are available for foot passengers?
There are multiple options for ground transportation as a walk-on passenger, depending on the time of year!
In Cape May, shuttle service is available to round trip foot passengers traveling from Lewes during the summer season and into the early fall.
Reservations are required as space is limited and there is no other method of public transportation from the terminal into Cape May.
Can you tell me more about the Ferry shuttles?
Ferry shuttles operate on seasonal schedules and provide service to and from the town of Cape May. In Lewes, the DART route 204 bus picks up and drops off at the Lewes terminal year-round. In Cape May, shuttles typically operate between late May and early October, and cost $6/person for anyone over 6 years of age.
Due to limited seating, reservations are required, and you should book your shuttle before you board the ferry by speaking with a Customer Service representative. Occasionally there are some, limited off season shuttles particularly for specific event packages.
What are my options in Lewes? I heard DART Route 204 works, what about the Lewes Line?
In Lewes, the DART Route 204 bus picks up and drops off right in front of the Lewes terminal, and provides access to Lewes, the Outlets, and Rehoboth Beach (via connection).
Sadly, the Lewes Line is gone. The City of Lewes ended their pilot program for the Lewes Line. DART offers service from the Cape May – Lewes Ferry Lewes Terminal.
