A Message From The Cape May-Lewes Ferry
As the summer approaches and the gradual reopening process begins in Cape May County, Sussex County, and beyond, we want to take a moment to keep you updated on our plans for safe and continued Ferry operations.
We’re sailing every day, just as we have been throughout this entire situation. We’ve added departures back to the schedule, and are now sailing four crossings per day from each terminal, with safety protocols in place. For the most up-to-date schedule information, be sure to visit our Schedules & Fares page. Please note that RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED (no cash accepted), and that we're limited traffic to vehicles only. Beginning Friday, May 29, passengers will be able to access the exterior decks during the crossing. Masks are required when exiting your vehicle, and passengers will be required to maintain a minimum of 6’ of social distance from anyone not in their household.
Please know that we’re continually evaluating plans to resume foot passenger and bicycle traffic, and will implement those plans as soon as we can safely accommodate them. For the latest information and anticipated timelines, as well as a full list of our safety measures and precautions, please make sure to visit our COVID-19 Information Page.
This remains a dynamic situation, and circumstances may change rapidly. We'll continue to keep you updated on our operations; meanwhile, please stay safe, continue to follow all recommended health authority guidelines, and adhere to applicable state-issued travel directives. We look forward to welcoming you aboard, even if we have to do it from 6’ away.
